Y-PEER Nepal National Training of Trainers (ToT)
Y-PEER Nepal organized first National Training of Trainers (ToT) dated 31st October to 3rd November 2010 in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu. The training was supported by Family Planning Association of Nepal (FPAN), UNFPA CO Nepal and International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) SARO.
The four days ToT on peer education with 26 amazing participants from various member organizations of Y-PEER Nepal National network, from different parts of the country got Peer education training including topics like Adolescents and youths Sexual and reproductive health and rights, Sexuality, HIV/AIDS and STI, Gender, Facilitation skills, etc. with many energizers and fun activities. Mr. Mario Balibago, Y-PEER International co-coordinator in charge of media and communication and Ms. Shubha Kayastha, Y-PEER Nepal National focal point in-charge facilitated the training.
Field visit to Bhaktapur Youth Information center, peer education center was another interesting component of the training. Regional coordinators for 6 different regions within the country were elected.
The solidarity night showcasing different cultural items was a memorable one. Certificates were distributed to all the participants and group photos were taken.
