3rd National TOT @ Nepaljung

The 3rd National Training of Y-PEER Nepal was held at Nepalgunj, Banke from 18th Sept.- 22 Sept. 2011. The 3rd ToT was organized to enhance the skills of peer educators from the Western, Mid-Western and Far-Western Development region of the country. The ToT was facilitated by Y-PEER Nepal Focal point-in-charge Shubha Kayastha and Focal points Sagar Budhathoki and Sangeet Kayastha. It was a great platform for peer educators of different districts to gather at a common place to share their unique local experiences that was very much relevant in the training. The main objective of the training was to build capacity of selected group of trainers to delivery high quality peer education programs. The training was very useful to learn methodologies and to acquire and share accurate information about Reproductive Health and sexual health issues, including HIV&AIDS Discuss own attitudes and values regarding Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV &AIDS, as well as health education. The training methodology was very youthful which helped the participants to participate actively and express their values and attitudes regarding some sensitive issues very positively. The training was able to add one more batch of certified trainers in the Y-PEER family helping to strengthen the network even better.
